Position Summary
The Resource Center Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Resource Centre, ensuring it is a welcoming, inclusive, and well-equipped space for clients. This role serves as the first point of contact for many clients, providing orientations, job search assistance, and connections to internal and external resources. The Resource Coordinator ensures that clients have access to up-to-date labour market information, digital tools, and supports that enhance their employment readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Resource Centre, ensuring it is organized, accessible, and client-friendly.
Greet clients and provide an initial orientation, helping them navigate available supports and resources.
Offer assisted job search support, including resume reviews, online applications, and referrals to workshops or other services.
Maintain current job boards, community postings, and employment resources.
Provide one-on-one support for digital literacy and navigating employment platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and government portals.
Track and record client visits, service usage, and outcomes in alignment with contract and reporting standards.
Liaise with program staff to ensure clients are effectively connected to appropriate internal services and wraparound supports.
Facilitate or schedule Resource Centre orientations, drop-in tutorials, and themed resource days to promote client engagement.
Monitor client needs and recommend new tools, resources, or activities based on trends and feedback.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in human services or a related field.
2–3 years of experience providing frontline employment, training, or support services.
Strong knowledge of labour market trends, job search tools, and community resources.
Experience supporting diverse and barriered populations, including single parents and families.
Skilled in intake, referral, and basic needs assessment.
Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace), digital job search platforms, and resource databases.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all clients.
